Do Raspberry Ketones really help you lose weight?

Very small number of weight loss ingredients hit the online market with a riveting public review from one of the most well-known and popular experts in the world, yet that just happens with raspberry ketone. It has become widely popular over the years, with most of this down to Doctor Oz who happened to mark it “The number one miracle in a bottle to burn fat” on a live tv show. This was enough for most men and women to turn to it and since those reviews, manufacturers have been quick to produce products that take amenities of the ingredient.

What are Raspberry Ketones?

Raspberry ketone is a completely natural substance that gives raspberries their potent aroma. It is also found in low percentage in kiwis, blackberries, and cranberries. Ketone has long been used in cosmetics and has been added to ice cream, soft drinks, and other foods as a flavoring.

Even though the word – raspberry may appeal to users, the product is actually NOT obtained from raspberries. Extracting raspberry ketones from the plant is extremely expensive because you need 41 kg (90 lbs) of raspberries to get the amount needed for a single dosage! Only 1-4 mg of raspberry ketones is located in a kilogram of whole raspberries (0.0001 – 0.0004 %).

Does raspberry ketone really work?

“Many types of research on the use of ketone for any health condition in people is currently lacking. Further high-quality research is needed,” – Catherine Ulbricht (Massachusetts General Hospital and Natural Standard Research Collaboration). Only a few of studies have been done to justify at raspberry ketone as a weight loss supplement. None of these studies were done in people. But the clinical studies on cells or mice have intimated a potential positive effect.

Raspberry Ketones study

The study from 2005. on mice found raspberry ketone prevented weight gain of visceral fat, and gains in the liver, according to the article in the Life Sciences. Another clinical study proved raspberry ketone increased the degradability of lipids within fat cells. The article in the Planta Medica from 2010. also showed raspberry ketone stimulated fat cells to secrete a larger amount of adiponectin. The low range of protein adiponectin is more common among men and women with type 2 diabetes and those who are obese.

The study from 2008. of 15 men and women showed applications of ketone improved both hair growth and skin elasticity over 5 months (“Growth Hormone and IGF Research”).

Raspberry Ketones Side Effects

Not included in the hype are the possible dangerous effects of raspberry ketones. Because ketones control the body’s release of norepinephrine, it causes a spike in body temperature that may cause to a temporary metabolic increase. Along with increasing body temperature, this hormone can also raise heart rate and blood pressure. People with heart conditions, diabetes, asthma, COPD, and high blood pressure should all avoid raspberry ketones, which can exacerbate their problems.

We recommend Raspberry Ketone Plus and Raspberry Ketone Pure, that are completely tested and safe weight loss supplements.

These supplements contain actual raspberry ketones and not ketones groomed in a laboratory…
